Newberry County Memorial Hospital

Newberry County Memorial Hospital (NCMH) provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients. As a 90-bed acute and 12-bed sub-acute community hospital, NCMH offers a broad spectrum of care and services. The hospital has over 50 physicians on its medical staff and employs approximately 489 people.

In 2002, NCMH completed a $13.4 million renovation and expansion project creating a customer-friendly outpatient medical mall on the first floor. Since that major renovation, the hospital has not slowed down. A satellite office was opened in Little Mountain in 2003. The birthing unit New Beginnings was expanded and completely renovated in 2004. In 2006 another major renovation and expansion began, which included a new and much larger laboratory area, surgical dressing rooms, pediatric rooms, obstetrical OR in New Beginnings and other minor renovations. The hospital expects this project to be completed in 2007. Also in 2007, the hospital will begin a medical office building project in the front of the hospital, which will include a new and expanded Wellness Center.
